MINUTES
BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING
Monday, November 5, 2007
The Regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at 6:30 pm at Sharon High School Room 604 with Chairman Walter Joe Roach, Selectman Richard A. Powell, and Selectman William A. Heitin.
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m.
APROVAL OF MINUTES
Selectman Powell asked that approval of both the Regular Session and Executive Session minutes of October 16, 2007 and October 30, 3007 be held until the next meeting.
FINALIZE POSITIONS ON TOWN MEETING ARTICLES
Article 12 – LOT Shape Article - Selectman Powell said that he is satisfied that the article protects neighbors from the building of homes on non-conforming lots. The Selectmen unanimously support the Article
Article 18 – Removing of easement on Eisenhower Drive - The Selectmen discussed their prior unanimous support of this article. It was decided to wait to continue discussion until Town Administrator Puritz arrived as he was thought to have additional information regarding this article.
CORRESPONDENCE
There was a discussion about a request from a resident to place two South Pleasant Street street signs at the corner of Pleasant Street and Station Street. Town Administrator Puritz arrived and said he had forwarded the request to Superintendent of Public Works Eric Hooper.
FINALIZE POSITIONS ON TOWN MEETING ARTICLES
Article 18 – Removing of easement on Eisenhower Drive – Town Administrator Puritz presented the Selectmen with an Alternative Motion for Article 18 which would give the Selectmen more flexibility should Article 18 pass the Town Meeting. The Selectmen Unanimously support the proposed amended motion.
VOTED: (Roach/Heitin) Voted unanimously to enter into Executive Session to discuss collective bargaining and real property acquisition and at the conclusion thereof to adjourn for the evening.
The Board adjourned to Executive Session at 6:45 p.m.
